To stop these cotton layers from shifting, they are quilted through using a knotting technique. This quilting gives a futon its unmistakable appearance. The coconut futon additionally comes with a 3 cm thick layer of latexed coconut fibre, which stabilises the futon and also makes it usable on slatted frames or on a sofa bed. All-natural cotton and latexed coconut Cotton is obtained from the long fibres in the seed pods of the cotton plant. The fibres of this shrub store body heat, are breathable and unsurpassed in their kindness to the skin. Our Coconut futon 6/0 consists of 6 layers of pure cotton at 600 g/m2 each and can be placed on a tatami, a sofa bed or a slatted frame.
