The balanced composition of this high-quality natural mattress combines the outstanding adaptability of 100 % natural latex with the supportive firmness of coconut. Thanks to its 6 cm of soft natural rubber (density 65 kg/m³), this all-rounder is soft and point-elastic at the surface, so that the contours of your body are gently followed when you lie on your side.
At the same time, a 3 cm thick core of latexed coconut fibre prevents you from sinking in too deeply when lying on your front or back, thus ensuring orthopaedically restful sleep. These regulating properties make the Merlin particularly suitable both for changing sleeping positions and as a partner mattress where body weights differ.
One major advantage of natural latex over a spring mattress, and also over a synthetic 7-zone cold foam mattress, is the material's high SAG factor. This describes the relationship between adaptability at the surface (softness) and resistance to compression deformation (firmness) in the core.

Thanks to its unsurpassed resilience and dimensional stability, even when exposed to moisture, natural rubber can even be combined with rigid slatted frames. In the Merlin natural mattress, the firm coconut core acts on the latex layer beneath it with area elasticity, much like a flexible slatted frame. Using a flexible slatted frame increases the adaptability and means the sleeper no longer feels the difference between surface and core so clearly.
The Merlin natural mattress is thus an all-rounder on all slatted frame systems, combining comfort with firmness in an orthopaedically balanced way.
